Case-insensitive multi-value variables For case-insensitive multi-value variables, the values stored in mvvar1 - mvvar3 will no longer be automatically lowercased. Instead, data passed through the Analytics source connector to Adobe Experience Platform and Customer Journey Analytics will reflect the original case that was passed in from the page. Customer Journey Analytics Audit Log Customer Journey Analytics lets you audit user activity for various services and capabilities in the form of “audit logs”. These logs form an audit trail that can help with troubleshooting issues, and help your business effectively comply with corporate data stewardship policies and regulatory requirements, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). HIPAA readiness Adobe now supports receiving, using, maintaining, or transmitting Protected Health Information in Customer Journey Analytics and other Experience Platform-based applications for Healthcare Shield customer only. Default landing page January 5, 2023 The new landing page that was introduced earlier in 2022 will become the default experience for all users on January 11, 2023. The current page will be deprecated and everyone will be required to use the new experience.
Improved IP-to-geolocation mapping January 5, 2023 Adobe’s vendor for IP lookups, Digital Element, is upgrading to a new improved dataset (NetAcuity Pulse) for IP-to-geolocation mapping. Adobe Analytics has postponed the adoption of this new dataset to January 11, 2023. The new database will be more accurate than previous versions. Some IP-to-geo mappings will change/improve when the new database is adopted.

Customer Journey Analytics data provided through the Analytics source connector will also automatically take advantage of the new mappings.

Anomaly detection auto-run conditions September 29, 2022 Today, Anomaly detection auto-runs on all columns of time-series freeform tables. To ensure data is available for analysis and projects load faster, Adobe will change how Anomaly detection auto-runs. Starting October 26, 2022, Anomaly detection will auto-run only on the first metric column in a table. You can configure column settings to run Anomaly detection on other columns, if needed.

Additionally, when data is exported from Customer Journey Analytics (via Workspace or Report Builder reporting, export, API, etc.) additional warnings or labels will be added to notify users that a report contains sensitive information that needs to be treated in a specific way. Data prep for Analytics source connector The Analytics source connector is now integrated with the Data Prep capabilities provided by Adobe Experience Platform. Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP), Customer Journey Analytics and Adobe Journey Optimizer customers can now extend the Analytics field group with additional field groups. They can also leverage 100+ Data Prep operators to enrich the Analytics data during ingestion into Adobe Experience Platform. RTCDP Customers can now enable multiple Data Prep-enabled report suites for Profile.

Customer Journey Analytics customers who ingest multiple report suites via the Analytics source connector now have a means to deconflict column differences between report suites. For example, if “Search Term” is stored in eVar1 in one report suite and in eVar2 in another report suite, using Data Prep you can extend the Analytics field group with a new column that merges the values from the two eVars.
